CFD and Energy Loss Model Analysis of High-Speed Centrifugal Pump with Low Specific Speed

High-speed centrifugal pumps with low specific speed have the characteristics of a small flowrate, high head, and being compact light weight, making them promising candidates for applications in thermal management aerospace electronic devices. The energy loss pump is critical complex due to large impeller diameter, narrow long flow channel, outlet width. In this paper, an analysis method based on model computational fluid dynamics simulations (ELM/CFD) proposed analyze performance fully sealed structure. Experiments were carried out under variable water flowrates. results show that empirical correlation failed accurately predict high-speed pumps, because bearing clearance leakage motor channel are ignored.
